Fork of Bowl of Fruit - General Update Pattern Special Cases

This example demonstrates the general update pattern in D3 v5, showing how data joins handle entering, updating, and exiting elements as fruits are added, removed, or modified. The visualization renders a bowl of apples and lemons as SVG circles with ordinal scales for color and radius, updating with each state change. The code uses `selection.data()`, `enter()`, `merge()`, and `exit()` within the `fruitBowl` function, while `setTimeout` calls trigger sequential changes to the fruit array.

Fork of World Countries Tree

This visualization shows a hierarchical tree of world countries organized by continent and subregion, with the nation names rendered as text nodes connected by curved links. It uses a d3.tree layout with a horizontal link generator to position the hierarchy in an SVG canvas, and d3.zoom enables panning and zooming across the full-width and height layout. The data comes from a static JSON file, and the text size decreases with depth to emphasize regional groupings. The code leverages d3.select, d3.hierarchy, d3.linkHorizontal, and d3.event, with custom Playfair Display typography and a stroke color for the paths.

Fork of Bowl of Fruit - Animated Transitions

Rows of fruit circles animate between states as apples are eaten and one apple transforms into a lemon. The example demonstrates data joins with a key function, using transitions to smoothly interpolate circle radii and x positions over one second. It builds on the `fruitBowl` module, which applies ordinal color and radius scales, while `setTimeout` triggers state changes every second. Rendering uses SVG circles, with D3 v5's selection, data, and transition APIs driving the animation.
