Interactive Billboard Top 50 Alluvial plot

This interactive alluvial plot visualizes the Billboard Top 50 charts by showing how songs, artists, and genres flow across weeks. Users can hover over individual ribbons to see a tooltip displaying the song, performer, and genre, and a slider allows scrubbing through time to filter the displayed data. The visualization is built with D3.js v6 and React, using SVG for rendering and D3’s time parsing and scales to map the temporal data. The underlying dataset comes from a TSV source containing weekly chart positions and Spotify genre classifications.

Fork of D3 Starter

This example demonstrates the minimal setup required to display text with D3 version 6. It shows a blank page where the text “Hello D3 version 7” is rendered directly into the body element, despite the page title referring to a starter template. The visualization uses the `select` API from the `d3` module to target the body and set its text content. The code relies on the D3 library loaded from a CDN in `index.html`, with the main logic written in `index.js` and bundled into `bundle.js`. The styling sets a large font size and centers the content.
