Loading and Parsing CSV Data

This example demonstrates how to load and parse CSV data using D3 v7’s `d3.csv` method, fetching a dataset of CSS named colors from a GitHub gist. The code asynchronously retrieves the CSV file and logs the total number of rows to the console, with a commented-out alternative using the Fetch API’s `response.text()` for comparison. The visualization itself does not render any graphical output; instead, it focuses solely on the data-loading and parsing workflow within a plain HTML page using a React-free setup.

Smiley Face Part 1

This example shows a static smiley face composed of a large yellow circle with a black stroke, plus two smaller black circles for eyes, positioned against a minimal white background. The face is rendered directly in SVG markup within the HTML page, while a separate React app, using `ReactDOM.render`, attempts to display a simple “Hello JSX” heading. However, the React code is incomplete and does not return valid JSX, so the visible smiley face comes solely from the inline SVG elements, not from any React-generated output.
