This example renders a simple, static face using SVG primitives and the D3.js v5 library. It constructs a yellow circle with black stroke for the head, positions two black circles for eyes, and draws a mouth using the `d3.arc()` API to generate a path. The code imports `select` and `arc` from D3, directly manipulates SVG attributes like `cx`, `cy`, and `transform` from within JavaScript, and uses CSS for text alignment. All coordinates are calculated relative to a 960-by-500 SVG canvas.
