World Countries Tree

This visualization presents the hierarchical structure of world countries organized by continent and subregion, using a horizontal tree layout with curved links connecting parent and child nodes. The code employs d3.tree and d3.hierarchy to process the nested JSON data, while d3.linkHorizontal generates the path shapes for the tree branches. Text labels display each geographic region and country name, with font size decreasing at deeper hierarchy levels. The visualization includes zoom functionality through d3.zoom, allowing users to explore the full dataset interactively within an SVG canvas.

World Countries Tree

This visualization shows the hierarchical organization of world countries, grouped by continent and subregion, as a horizontal tree layout. It uses D3 v5’s `tree` layout and `hierarchy` to compute node positions, with `linkHorizontal` drawing curved edges between levels. Country and region names are rendered as SVG text, with font size decreasing by depth. The view supports pan and zoom via D3’s `zoom` behavior, and data is loaded from a local `data.json` file.
