Fork of animation of reusable D3 scatterplot
This example shows a reusable D3 scatterplot component rendering the Iris dataset as animated SVG symbols. Points transition smoothly between positions using `d3.transition`, with the update pattern via `selection.join()` handling enter, update, and exit states. The chart maps species to both colors and symbol shapes using `scaleOrdinal`, while axis scales use `scaleLinear` and `extent`. Although the interval-based cycling between different column pairs is commented out, the code demonstrates a modular scatterPlot function with configurable accessor functions for x, y, category, and symbol values.
