Shapes and Colours with SVG and CSS
This example demonstrates SVG shape and styling capabilities by rendering a blank 960x500 canvas with a blue background, using CSS classes to define stroke properties for potential path elements. The code initializes a D3 v5 selection with `d3.select('svg')` and applies the background color dynamically. While the page loads the D3 library and includes styles for `.lines` and `.lines path` with specific stroke colors and line rendering options, the current implementation only sets the backdrop, leaving the actual shape-drawing functions inactive for immediate display.
