Loading and parsing CSV data

This example demonstrates how to load and parse a CSV file using the Fetch API. It fetches a remote CSV file containing CSS named colors and logs its raw text content to the browser console. The code defines an asynchronous `fetchText` function that retrieves the file and returns its text representation. While it does not parse the CSV into structured data or render a visualization, it illustrates the preliminary step of accessing external tabular data. The data source is a GitHub Gist hosted CSV file.

Smiley Face Part 1

Two nearly identical smiley faces—each with a yellow circular head, black outline, eyes, and an arc-based mouth—are rendered side by side. The component-based React code composes `Face`, `FaceContainer`, `HeadCircle`, `Eye`, and `Mouth` components, using D3's `arc` generator to define the mouth path. SVG circles serve as the head and eyes, while the face is centered via a translated `<g>` element.
