Human Capital Index (HCI) by Country

This bar chart displays the Human Capital Index (HCI) for a selection of countries, with each bar’s length and color intensity encoding the index value on a 0–1 scale. The visualization is built with D3 v7, using `scaleLinear`, `scaleBand`, and `axisBottom` to position bars, while a color legend explains the gradient. Data is loaded from a CSV file, and the chart is rendered as SVG with a title and value labels.

Fork of Missing Migrants Date Histogram

This interactive visualization displays the monthly sum of dead and missing migrants from the Missing Migrants Dataset. Each bar represents a month, with the bar height corresponding to the total count of casualties. The visualization uses React with D3 v5, employing `d3.bin` to group reported dates into monthly intervals and `d3.sum` to aggregate the death counts per bin. The SVG rendering includes custom bottom and left axes, with a Poppins font and a teal color scheme for the bars.

Fork of React + D3 Viz Starter

This example presents a minimal starting point for building React + D3 visualizations. It shows a blank SVG canvas with distinct gray outer and inner rectangles, visually exposing the chart's margins and plot area boundaries. The code uses React's component model and D3 v6, loaded via CDN, with a `VizContainer` component that abstracts SVG and group elements. The `showMargins` prop controls whether the margin rectangles render, and the main `App` component defines the canvas dimensions and margin constants.
