Bowl of Fruit - General Update Pattern Special Cases
This example demonstrates D3's general update pattern with special cases for entering, updating, and exiting elements. A bowl of fruit (apples and lemons) is rendered as SVG circles and text labels, with transitions over time as fruits are removed or replaced. The code uses `d3.scaleOrdinal` for color and radius mapping, `selection.merge`, and `selection.exit().remove()` to handle data joins. Fruits are imported from a module and rendered in a fixed bowl rectangle.
