Fork of Cheap Tricks for Interaction

This example shows a world map with countries rendered in light green, where clicking a country turns it red, and users can zoom and pan the view. It uses an equirectangular-like natural Earth projection via `d3.geoNaturalEarth1` and `d3.geoPath` to draw SVG paths from TopoJSON data loaded from the world-atlas package. Country names come from a TSV file, and a `d3.zoom` handler applies transforms to the map group. A spherical background and active-state styling complete the interactive visualization.

Fork of Geo Albers with Territories Demo

This demo displays US state boundaries using the geo-albers-usa-territories projection, which includes Alaska, Hawaii, and US territories, rendered as SVG paths. The visualization loads state topology from the US Atlas TopoJSON dataset, extracting land features and interior mesh boundaries via topojson feature and mesh functions. The React component structures the SVG output while d3.geoPath creates the projected path geometries, with the graticule helper generating the background grid lines shown in the styling.

Fork of Choropleth Map with Interactive Filtering

A choropleth map of world economies lets users filter countries by clicking legend items, with unselected countries fading to low opacity. The map uses d3.geoPath with a geoNaturalEarth1 projection and a d3.scaleOrdinal color scale with the schemeSpectral palette, rendering as SVG. The color legend, built with custom enter/merge/exit logic, triggers updates via click handlers that toggle the selected category. Geographic data comes from world-atlas TopoJSON, paired with economic metadata from a TSV file.

Fork of Temperature in San Francisco Line Chart

This line chart visualizes one week of temperature data in San Francisco, sourced from Data Canvas - Sense Your City. The SVG rendering uses D3 v5 to plot time against temperature, with a smooth curve generated by the `line` and `curveBasis` functions. Styled axes and tick marks are configured via `axisLeft`, `axisBottom`, and CSS classes, while the chart includes labeled axes, a title, and a maroon polyline. The data is loaded as CSV asynchronously, parsed into date and numeric values, and then scaled with `scaleTime` and `scaleLinear` for the x and y dimensions.

Fork of Hello VizHub

This example demonstrates how VizHub projects can load D3 and organize code with local ES6 modules. It uses D3’s `select` function to target a `div` with the id `message` and set its text content to a string imported from a separate module. The imported `message` constant is defined in `myMessage.js`. The page includes D3 v5 via UNPKG, and the stylesheet centers the message with a large font size.
