Wild Cats
This example renders a hierarchical tree of wild cat species using D3.js v5. The visualization shows the taxonomic classification of cats, from broad groups like Panthera and Felis down to individual species. The tree layout uses `d3.tree` and `d3.hierarchy` to position nodes, with curved links drawn via `d3.linkHorizontal`. Text labels display each cat’s scientific name, with font size scaling by depth. The SVG supports zooming through `d3.zoom`, and the data is loaded from a JSON file.
