SF Arrests

This visualization displays the past week of arrests in San Francisco, with each arrest plotted as a semi-transparent symbol on a basemap of analysis neighborhoods. It uses the d3-geo module with a conic equal-area projection and d3-geoPath to render the GeoJSON basemap and streets. Arrest data is loaded live from the SODA API using d3.json, filtering for entries with a resolution of "Cite or Arrest" and a valid location. Interactive highlights and a tooltip show the neighborhood name on mouseover.
