Smiley Face Part I

A partial smiley face rendered with custom React components and D3.js v7. It shows a yellow circle with black outlines, two simple eyes, a red X-shaped nose, and a smile created using a D3 arc generator (d3.arc) with inner and outer radii. The SVG is centered with translated coordinates, while the eyes, mouth, and background circle are separate reusable components. An unused linear gradient definition is also present in the code.

Fork of D3 Starter

This example demonstrates a minimal D3 version 7 setup, displaying the static text “Hello D3 version 7” centered on a page. The code imports the `select` function from D3 to target the body element and set its text content, while the HTML loads D3 from unpkg and uses a separate `bundle.js` file. The page styling applies a 13em font size and center alignment to emphasize the output. The visualization serves as a basic starter template, showing how to structure an HTML page, bundle JavaScript, and use D3’s selection API for DOM manipulation, without any data or dynamic rendering.
