2020 presidential election margins (preliminary results)
A map of the United States visualizes preliminary 2020 presidential election results, showing each state's vote margin as a thick ring. The inner radius of a ring represents votes for the state's losing candidate, while the outer radius represents the winner's votes, making large populations with tight races appear as thin circles. Built with D3 v5, the code uses `d3.geoPath` with a `d3.geoAlbersUsa` projection for the map, `d3.forceSimulation` for label placement, and `d3.arc` to generate the rings. Data is aggregated from county-level election results and rendered as SVG.
