Let's make a face!

A blank red SVG canvas serves as the backdrop for a simple, abstract face made from basic geometric shapes. The example demonstrates the fundamental setup of a D3.js v5 project using the `select` function to target the SVG element and apply styling directly. Rendered as a static SVG without any data binding or interaction, it highlights the minimal structure needed to begin a visualization, with a bundled JavaScript file and linked stylesheet defining the page layout.

Let's make a face!

This example demonstrates how simple SVG elements can be combined to create a stylized face. The code uses D3 v5 to select an SVG element and set its background color to red via a style attribute. It then relies on an external bundle script, though its specific drawing logic is not included, to render the face’s features. The visualization is embedded directly in an HTML page with D3 loaded from a CDN, and the overall layout uses a full-viewport SVG canvas.

Shapes with SVG and CSS

This example demonstrates a minimal SVG-based visualization featuring a single large circle rendered within an HTML document. The circle is positioned using SVG’s `r` attribute, while the page styling and full-bleed layout are handled through CSS in an external stylesheet. The visualization relies on the native SVG element and CSS rules for sizing and overflow control, with no additional JavaScript libraries or data sources involved. The result is a clean, static illustration of basic shape rendering and styling in a web environment.

Hello VizHub

This example renders the text “Hello VizHub” on a blank HTML page. The visualization uses the D3.js version 5 library, loaded from a CDN, alongside a separate stylesheet and a local JavaScript bundle. The code selects a `<div>` element with the ID `message` and injects the greeting text into it. The rendering approach is a simple static text output, with no data source or interactive behavior involved.

Cars Report

This example renders a simple text-based report of car listings, displaying the full parsed dataset directly on the page. It imports car data from a module containing a JSON string, parses it with `JSON.parse`, and assigns the resulting array to a `<pre>` element via `textContent`. The page uses large Ubuntu typography against a dark blue background, with styling defined in CSS. No charting or visualization libraries are used; the focus is on demonstrating basic data import and DOM manipulation within a VizHub project.

Cars Report

This example displays the title "Cars Report" over a dataset of five used cars. The visualization loads car records containing make, model, year, and price from a JSON string defined in `cars.js`, parsing it with `JSON.parse`. The page renders a large “Hello” message via JavaScript DOM manipulation, setting the text content of a `pre` element using `document.getElementById`. The interface uses CSS customizations, including the Ubuntu font from Google Fonts and a dark blue background.
