Fork of COVID-19 Deaths in US (NYT data) Reusable D3 Scatter Plot Framework
This scatter plot displays the rolling seven-day average of COVID-19 deaths in the United States over time, using data from the New York Times. The visualization is built with D3.js (v6.7.0) and its `scaleTime`, `scaleLinear`, `axisBottom`, and `axisLeft` components to map dates and death counts. It renders as an SVG, with points sized by a fixed radius and includes custom text annotations for the title, source attribution, and a vaccination milestone. The chart is generated from a CSV URL loaded via D3’s `csv` function, with margins and axis labels configured programmatically.
