World Map

This example displays a blank world map using SVG, with country boundaries rendered from TopoJSON data loaded from the world-atlas package. The code imports `select` and `json` from d3, along with `feature` from topojson, to convert the TopoJSON topology into GeoJSON features. However, the visualization only logs the parsed country data to the console—it does not yet draw any geographic paths with `d3.geoPath`. The map remains empty, showing only the SVG container prepared for future rendering.

D3 viz of world countries

This radial tree displays the hierarchical structure of world countries using data.json, organized by regions and sub-regions. The visualization uses D3 v5’s `tree()` layout to position nodes, with `linkHorizontal()` drawing curved connection paths. Text labels show each country or region name, with font size decreasing based on depth. The SVG canvas supports zooming through D3’s `zoom()` event handler.

Fork of Let's make a face with D3.js!

This example demonstrates how D3.js can build playful, animated SVG graphics through fundamental DOM manipulation. It creates a comically explicit smiley face with moving eyebrows using SVG circles, paths, and arc generators. The eyebrows transition vertically using chained `transition()` calls over two-second intervals. The code relies on D3 v5 selections, the `arc()` and `linkVertical()` generators, and attribute manipulation to position and style each element.

Fork of Fork trying to get the donut plot

A React-based dashboard displays proton therapy quality assurance data as a grid of labeled donut charts, each representing a measured parameter like beam position or intensity. The visualization adapts a smiley-face SVG component into circular gauges, using d3.arc to generate donut paths and d3.pie to compute angles, while a separate area path forms a background panel. All values are hardcoded to one, making it a static prototype of the intended interactive layout.
