A choropleth of Portugal’s administrative districts renders each region as a filled path using a Mercator projection via d3.geoPath and d3.geoMercator. District boundaries come from a TopoJSON file, with shared borders stroked as “interiors” using topojson.mesh. React components manage the SVG markup, while d3.zoom enables interactive pan and zoom on the map. Distinct teal fills and hover highlighting separate land from graticules.
