Example - D3Kit-Timeline

This example uses the D3Kit-Timeline library to render a horizontal timeline of Star Wars film release dates. The chart displays each movie as a labeled point along a time axis, with the label text generated by a custom `textFn` that combines the release year and film title. The visualization is built with d3.v4 and d3kit, while the labella library handles label positioning to avoid overlap. The underlying data is a hardcoded JavaScript array in `data.js` containing seven movie entries with their release dates and episode numbers.

Fork of Scatter plot for AI Research

This interactive scatter plot visualizes AI research metrics by country, allowing users to compare attributes like citations, documents, and H-index through dropdown menus. The visualization uses React with D3 v5 scales and SVG rendering, featuring a color legend that highlights individual countries on hover while fading others. Data comes from a SCImago Journal Rank CSV file, processed with D3's csv parser and sorted by citation count before display.

Fork of D3-timeline in D3.js V3 ref from (jiahuang)

A fork of jiahuang's d3-timeline, this example demonstrates a stacked, interactive timeline built with D3.js v3 and rendered as SVG. The chart visualizes labeled time intervals for patient statuses like "Waiting," "Vital," and "Doctor," with each segment colored and optionally labeled, and an accompanying legend. The code creates the timeline via `d3.timeline()` with stacked item rows, custom tick formatting using `d3.time.format`, and margins. SVG elements are appended manually for the legend, while the timeline itself handles axis and row rendering through its internal API.

Fork of Create a face with d3.js!

A yellow face drawn with D3.js SVG shapes animates its eyebrows in a looping motion. The example demonstrates modular JavaScript with `import` statements from `d3` and local modules, loading D3 v7 via UNPKG. It uses `select` and `attr` to construct circles and rectangles for the eyes and brows, and the `arc` generator to create the mouth path. A `transition` chain with a 2000-millisecond duration moves the eyebrows up and down continuously.

d3 Starter

This visualization demonstrates a minimal starting point for building with D3, displaying a single large circle centered near the left side of an SVG canvas. The code uses D3 v7's `select` function to target the existing SVG element, then appends a circle with `append`, setting its radius to 300 and horizontal position to 300 via the `attr` method. While minimal, it establishes the core pattern of selecting, appending, and styling SVG elements.
