Fork of Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

A radial tree shows the hierarchical organization of countries by continent and subregion, branching outward from a central "World" root. D3’s cluster layout computes angular and radial positions, while SVG paths connect parent-child nodes. Panning and zooming are enabled via d3.zoom. Node labels use hue-free teal links and font sizes scaled by depth, with text rotation applied for deep leaves. Data comes from a JSON hierarchy.

Fork of World Countries Tree

This visualization shows a hierarchical tree of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, with country names displayed at varying font sizes based on their depth in the tree. It uses D3 v5 with the `d3.tree` layout and `d3.hierarchy` to compute the node positions, while `d3.linkHorizontal` generates the curved connecting paths. The SVG rendering supports zooming and panning through D3's `d3.zoom` behavior, and the data comes from a local `data.json` file containing the nested geographic structure.

D3 Starter

This example shows a minimal, empty HTML page as a starting point for D3 projects. The code provides a bare document structure with an empty `<body>` and imports the `select` function from D3 v7.8.5 in `index.js`, though it does not yet render any visualization. The README links to an embedded YouTube tutorial, while the package.json declares the D3 dependency, establishing the scaffolding for future chart development.
