Customizing Axes

This example shows a simple yellow circle face with two black eyes, drawn using D3 v5 and rendered as SVG. The code uses the `select` and `arc` imports from D3, though only `select` is actively used to append circle elements. It reads the SVG’s width and height attributes to position the face and eyes responsively. The visualization demonstrates basic SVG shape manipulation with D3, using static coordinates derived from the viewport dimensions, and does not involve data transformation or axes customization despite the title.

Customizing Axes

This example demonstrates how to customize axes in a bar chart showing population by country. The code loads data from a CSV file and uses D3 v5's `scaleLinear`, `scaleBand`, `axisLeft`, and `axisBottom` to generate the scales and axes within an SVG. It renders horizontal bars, with the y-axis listing country names and the x-axis displaying population values. The `csv` function parses the data, and the chart is structured with explicit margins and a grouped `<g>` element for positioning.
