Fork of Mouse Follower

A React app loads a CSV of named CSS colors using d3.csv, then displays a text summary of the dataset’s size, row count, and column count via React state and the useState and useEffect hooks. The rendered message, built by the custom message function, formats the CSV size in kilobytes using d3.csvFormat. The example demonstrates integrating D3 data loading with React’s component lifecycle for simple asynchronous data visualization.

Fork of Loading and Parsing CSV Data

This example demonstrates how to load and parse a CSV file containing CSS named colors using D3.js v5 within a React framework. It displays a summary with the file size in kilobytes, the number of rows, and the number of columns. The code uses `d3.csv` to fetch and parse the data from a GitHub Gist, then formats the output with `d3.csvFormat` and renders it as large text in an HTML `<pre>` element. An alternative approach using `fetch`, `async`, and `await` with `d3.csvParse` is also provided but commented out.
