Fork of HTML Starter

This example demonstrates fetching and logging a CSV dataset of named CSS colors. The page uses the Fetch API within an asynchronous JavaScript function to retrieve the data from a GitHub gist URL, then parses the response as text and outputs it to the browser console. The visualization is minimal, serving as a bare HTML starter template that shows how to initiate a network request and handle the returned data with modern JavaScript promises and async/await syntax.

Loading and parsing CSV Data

This example demonstrates the foundational step of loading and parsing CSV data for visualization. It fetches a remote dataset using the Fetch API and prepares it for subsequent rendering. The code establishes the data-loading pipeline, from requesting the resource to parsing the CSV format, without yet displaying any graphical output. This serves as a minimal template for integrating external tabular data into a React-based visualization workflow.

This example shows a single large yellow circle with a black outline centered on an SVG canvas, rendered at 960 by 500 pixels. The circle is drawn using a React component that directly outputs SVG markup, with its position and radius set via the `cx`, `cy`, and `r` attributes. The code relies on React and ReactDOM to mount the SVG into the page’s root element, while the circle’s fill, stroke, and stroke width are specified as SVG presentation attributes. No data source or interaction is present beyond the static shape.
