Making a Bar Chart
This bar chart visualizes the populations of the ten most populous countries using 2018 estimates from the United Nations World Population Prospects. The chart displays population in millions on the x-axis, formatted with SI prefixes, and country names on the y-axis. The code uses d3.csv to load data, d3.scaleLinear and d3.scaleBand for scales, and d3.axisLeft and d3.axisBottom for custom axes with grid lines and labels. Rendering is done via SVG, with titles and axis labels added as text elements.
