smile 2

A smiling face is drawn on an SVG canvas using D3.js version 6, featuring a yellow circle head, two black circular eyes, and a separate arc path for the mouth. The code creates the head and eyes through explicit `append('circle')` calls with positioned `cx` and `cy` attributes, while the smile uses the `d3.arc()` generator to compute path data from angular and radial parameters. All shapes render as SVG elements within a 600×400 pixel viewport, demonstrating basic geometric construction with D3 selection and attribute methods.

This example uses D3 version 6 to render a simple face on an SVG canvas. It draws a yellow circle as the head, then adds two black eye circles and a red arc-shaped mouth using D3’s `arc` generator, which creates an SVG path based on inner/outer radii and start/end angles. The code uses `select` and `append` to build the SVG elements, with hard-coded positions and dimensions for each facial feature.

et's make a face with D3.js!

A smiley face rendered in SVG reacts with animated eyebrows as its eyes and mouth remain static. The demo builds the face using D3.js v5 selections to append a yellow circle, two eye circles, and a mouth path generated by the `arc` generator. The eyebrows, drawn as rectangles within a grouped transform, demonstrate chained `transition().duration()` calls to shift upward and back down over two seconds. The code imports `select` and `arc` directly from D3, and the entire face is centered via an SVG transform.

This example demonstrates a minimal HTML page that displays the text “Hello HTML” in a browser. The page uses a basic HTML5 structure with a `<!DOCTYPE html>` declaration and a simple `title` and `body`. While an `index.js` file is present, it references an undefined `d3` object and an `svg` selector, suggesting an incomplete or illustrative D3.js integration. The page relies solely on standard HTML rendering, with no styles or data visualization included.
