Fork of D3 Starter

This example demonstrates the minimal setup required to begin using D3 version 7, displaying the static text “Hello D3 version 7” in the center of the page. It imports the `select` function from D3 and uses it to select the document body, setting its text content. The page loads D3 v7.8.2 from a CDN and also references a separate `bundle.js` file, though the visible behavior relies solely on the `select` API.

SVG Fundamentals

This example demonstrates the foundational structure of an SVG visualization, starting with a static “Hello World!” heading and a single red circle rendered directly in the page. The code uses plain HTML and CSS for layout, along with native SVG elements (`<svg>`, `<circle>`) positioned via `cx`, `cy`, and `r` attributes. It illustrates how minimal markup can create a basic geometric shape without any JavaScript libraries, serving as a starting point for more complex React-based visualizations. The rendering approach is purely declarative SVG within a static HTML document.
