World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and region as a horizontal tree diagram. The D3.js v5 code uses `d3.hierarchy` and `d3.tree` to compute node positions, with `d3.linkHorizontal` generating curved link paths between parent and child nodes. Labels show region and country names, with font size decreasing at deeper levels. The SVG canvas supports pan and zoom through the `d3.zoom` behavior, and the styling applies a serif font with contrasting turquoise links against a clean white background.

Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

This radial tree visualization displays the hierarchical relationships between world regions, subregions, and individual countries, using D3.js v4's `d3.cluster` layout algorithm to position nodes in concentric circles. The visualization shows the geographic classification of countries, with Asia expanded to reveal its subregions and member states. Rendering as an SVG, the visualization uses `d3.hierarchy` to process the JSON data structure, `d3.zoom` for panning and zooming interactions, and `d3.scaleSqrt` to determine font sizes based on tree depth. Text labels are rotated according to their angular position, with higher-level nodes kept horizontal for readability.
