Loading & Parsing CSV Data

This example demonstrates the initial steps of fetching and logging a CSV file from a remote URL. It uses the browser’s built-in `fetch` API to request a dataset of CSS named colors, storing the returned Promise and attaching a `.then` callback that logs the raw `Response` object to the console. The code shows how to initiate an asynchronous network request but does not parse or display the CSV data itself, leaving further processing unimplemented.

Fork of HTML Starter

This interactive visualization displays a grid of 18 cartoon faces, each with randomly generated eye and mouth sizes. Built with React and D3.js v7, the code uses `d3.arc()` to create the mouth path and `d3.range()` to generate the grid. Each face is composed of SVG shapes—a yellow circle background, two eye circles, and an arc-based mouth—all rendered within a shared `<g>` element transformed to the face's center. The faces are drawn using `ReactDOM.render()` to populate the HTML root element.

Fork of Smiley Face Part II

A full-screen yellow smiley face is rendered responsively, centered within the browser window. The face consists of a large yellow circle with a black stroke, two black eye circles, and a mouth implied by the empty SVG background. The visualization is built using React and ReactDOM to generate SVG elements, with all dimensions (radius, eye offsets, and stroke width) calculated from the window’s inner width and height. The code does not include a smile curve, leaving the face incomplete.
