pie_chart_question1

This pie chart shows the population of various U.S. states in millions for 2024, with each slice labeled with its value and a corresponding color-coded legend. The visualization uses D3.js (v5) to load CSV data from a GitHub repository, then applies `d3.pie()` to compute arc segments. The SVG canvas renders the chart with custom path segments, and `d3.scaleOrdinal` assigns distinct colors to each state's population value. Text labels and legend entries are generated dynamically using D3's `arc` and `select` APIs.

This interactive scatter plot visualizes the Iris dataset, cycling through different feature pairs on the x-axis to explore relationships between sepal and petal measurements. Points are color-coded by species (Setosa, Versicolor, Virginica). The visualization uses D3.js methods like `scaleLinear`, `axisLeft`, and `axisBottom` to construct the plot, with animation via `setInterval` cycling through the columns. The data is loaded from a CSV file, and the SVG rendering includes a legend and axis labels.

Fork of Bubble chart

This bubble chart shows the correlation between average horsepower, torque, and highway MPG across 31 car makes, with each make’s circle size encoding highway MPG and color encoding make identity. The visualization uses a CSV dataset loaded via `d3.csv`, with linear scales for both axes and a size scale for the circles. Interactive tooltips appear on mouseover, and the chart includes a legend showing the MPG scale and color mappings. The SVG is rendered with D3 v7, using joins for circles and mouse event handlers for tooltip positioning.

A stacked bar chart displays the percentage of total fee payments made by students across five installments, with each bar representing a student and colored segments showing the proportion paid at each term. Hovering over a segment highlights it and displays a tooltip with the exact percentage for that term. The visualization uses d3.v7 with SVG rendering, employing d3.stack() to process the CSV data and d3.scaleBand and d3.scaleLinear for axes, while d3.scaleOrdinal assigns categorical colors to the payment terms.

A basic starter example for VizHub demonstrates modular D3 code organization and DOM manipulation. The page imports the `select` function from D3 v5 and a custom `message` string from a local ES6 module, using `select('#message').text(message)` to display the text "Hello VizHub!" in a large, centered layout. The example includes a regular expression and an unused variable, primarily illustrating the setup of imports, local module usage, and simple SVG-less styling through CSS.

5 Budda

This visualization renders a dense field of randomly generated triangles in vibrant, semi-transparent colors overlaid on a dark canvas, forming a chaotic, generative composition. At the center, a stylized Buddha silhouette in warm orange emerges from layered, overlapping polygons, created with React and SVG. The piece combines algorithmic randomness with a recognizable iconic form, inviting exploration of order and disorder.
