This interactive zoomable sunburst chart displays estimated crime data for the top five US states from 1995 to 2015, using a hierarchical ring layout where each year forms an inner ring, states and crime categories radiate outward, and segment size corresponds to crime counts. Users click slices to zoom into specific years, states, or crime types. Built with D3.js v4, the visualization uses `d3.partition()` for hierarchical layout, `d3.scaleSqrt()` for radial scaling, and SVG paths with animated transitions via `d3.transition()` to smoothly refocus the view.
