Fork of My Line Chart

This line chart displays daily internet usage in gigabytes over the year 2020. The visualization uses d3.csv to load the dataset, then applies d3.scaleTime and d3.scaleLinear for the x and y axes respectively, with a d3.line generator creating the red stroke path. A peach-colored reference band highlights usage above 100 GB. Interactive features include a listening rectangle that captures mousemove events, displaying a tooltip with the date and usage value. The SVG rendering includes axis labels, a titled header, and a dotted vertical line that tracks the cursor position.

My Line Chart

This line chart visualizes a user’s daily internet usage in gigabytes throughout 2020. The graphic highlights values above 100 GB with a distinct background band, and an interactive tooltip reveals precise usage and date details on hover. Built with D3 v5, the visualization uses `d3.csv` to load the dataset, `d3.scaleTime` and `d3.scaleLinear` for axes, and `d3.line` for the path. The SVG rendering includes labeled axes, a title, and a transparent listening rectangle for mouse interactions. The data is plotted from the `InternetUsage` and `Bill Date` fields of the CSV file.

review_score vs review_response

This example plots temperature over time for a week in San Francisco, displaying review_response on the x-axis and temperature on the y-axis. The visualization uses a smooth line generated with d3.line and curveBasis, with scales from scaleTime and scaleLinear to map data values to screen coordinates. The code loads CSV data from a VizHub dataset, parses timestamps and temperatures, and renders axes with gridlines using axisBottom, axisLeft, and tickSize. SVG elements drawn with d3.select and margin-based translation structure the chart.

Hotel management

This example shows the relationship between hotel review dates and response rates, displaying the data as a simple text report in the browser. It loads hotel JSON data (including year, review date, and response percentage) and maps each record to extract the review date and response fields. The visualization uses the `fetch`-like API `gethotel()` to retrieve the data, `JSON.parse` to convert it, and plain DOM manipulation via `document.getElementById` to update the displayed message. The page relies on bundled JavaScript and minimal CSS styling for centering.
