D3 Course 3: Line Chart

This line chart displays temperature readings in San Francisco over time, with time on the x-axis and temperature on the y-axis, using a smooth curve. The visualization is rendered as an SVG using D3 v5, and loads its data from a CSV file via `d3.csv`. The code employs `d3.scaleTime`, `d3.scaleLinear`, `d3.axisBottom`, `d3.axisLeft`, and `d3.line` with `curveBasis` to construct the chart, and includes a custom `getData` function that resolves the dataset after a delay.

Customizing Axes

This bar chart displays the population of the top 10 most populous countries based on 2018 United Nations estimates, with customized axes for improved readability. The code uses D3 v5’s `scaleLinear`, `axisBottom`, and `axisLeft` to render the chart, and `format('.3s')` to abbreviate population numbers. Visual customizations include removing axis domain lines, adding a custom axis label, and styling tick marks and labels. Data is loaded from a local CSV file using `d3.csv`.
