This interactive scatter plot explores the Iris dataset, allowing users to select which quantitative attributes map to the x- and y-axes through dropdown menus. Built as a reusable D3 chart, it uses `d3.scaleLinear` or `d3.scalePoint` depending on whether the selected column is quantitative or categorical. The SVG visualization animates circle positions and radius growth using `transition` and `selection.join`, with axes updated via `d3.axisLeft` and `d3.axisBottom`. The interface is styled with the Share Tech font.

Fork of D3 Starter

This example demonstrates the simplest possible D3 setup: a blank SVG element appended to the page body, with the word "hi" printed to the browser console. The code uses D3 v7’s `select` function to target the body and append an empty SVG container, while relying on an external script tag for the D3 library and a separate `bundle.js` for execution. No data or visual marks are drawn; the page merely shows a centered, oversized text "hi" as a static placeholder. The source is a starter template for learning D3's basic structure.
