Toronto Map

This example displays a vector map of Toronto using topojson data from a GitHub repository. The map is rendered as SVG paths via `d3.geoPath` and the `geoNaturalEarth1` projection, with React managing the component structure. City boundaries appear as teal strokes without fill or labels, while the `useData` hook loads and converts the TopoJSON to GeoJSON using `feature` from topojson. The visualization uses d3.v5 and React 16.9, with the mark component generating one path per feature.

Fork of England Regional Map

This map shows the geographical regions of England shaded in teal, with internal borders highlighted in light gray. The visualization uses a React component structure with D3 v7’s `geoNaturalEarth1` projection and `geoPath` to render the SVG paths. Region polygons and interior boundaries are derived from a TopoJSON dataset via `topojson.feature` and `topojson.mesh`. The map displays static region shapes without interactive or animated elements, relying on React state management to load the data asynchronously.

Fork of Polished World Map

This example displays a world map with country boundaries, rendered as a styled SVG graphic that includes graticules, land masses, and interior borders. It uses React for component structure and d3.geoPath with the geoNaturalEarth1 projection to draw geographic features, while d3.geoGraticule generates the background grid lines. The underlying data comes from a TopoJSON file, processed with topojson.feature and topojson.mesh to extract land and boundary geometries. The map is polished with a distinct color palette separating land, ocean, and boundary strokes.
