The example demonstrates a minimal D3.js visualization with a blank SVG canvas and a single linear scale that maps a domain of 0 to 100 to a range of 0 to 10. It uses `d3.scaleLinear` from D3 v4, loaded via the official CDN, and sets up a full-viewport responsive SVG. No data or drawing occurs; the code only initializes the scale and canvas, serving as a starting point for further development.
