Fork of D3 Starter

This example demonstrates a basic three-node force-directed graph simulation using D3's newer `forceSimulation` API. It renders three circles (Alice, Bob, Carol) connected by two links as SVG elements, with the layout driven by `forceManyBody` for repulsion, `forceLink` for spring-like connections, and `forceCenter` to keep the graph anchored at the SVG center. The simulation updates node and line positions on each tick event, showing a minimal starter template for physics-based network visualizations.

Fork of D3 Starter

This example demonstrates the minimal setup required to render text with D3 version 7. It displays the phrase “Hello D3 version 7” in the center of the page at a large font size. The code imports the `select` function from `d3` and uses it to target the `body` element, setting its text content directly. The page loads D3 from a CDN and executes the custom script from a separate bundle file, showing a straightforward integration pattern.
