Making a Bar Chart
A horizontal bar chart displays COVID-19 case counts for local electoral areas in County LOUTH, Ireland, from a CSV file. Each bar’s length encodes the C19_P14_T case total, with area names on the y-axis using d3.scaleBand and values scaled by d3.scaleLinear. The React-based code loads data with d3.csv, filters it by county, and renders SVG rectangles inside a translated group. The chart uses D3 v5 for data joining and margin-based layout.
