Fork of Fork of Fork of Color and Size Legends
This example demonstrates reusable custom legends for both ordinal color scales and quantitative size scales, rendered as SVG groups. The color legend shows four fruit categories with distinct circle fills, while the size legend displays five tick values with proportionally sized circles. The code imports `scaleOrdinal` and `scaleSqrt` from D3 v5, and both legends are implemented as exported functions that use D3’s data join pattern (`selection.selectAll`, `.enter()`, `.merge()`) to update groups, circles, and text labels dynamically.
