ILINet Flu Surveillance Data

This visualization displays annual ILI flu case totals across U.S. regions, with lines for each year from 2015 to 2019 plotted against week of year. The chart uses an unordered color scale for the year field, making it harder to compare temporal trends. Built with the vega-lite-api and d3, it aggregates weekly ILITOTAL values by year and region before rendering the line marks. Data originates from CDC FluView Interactive, loaded as CSV via d3.csv, and the visualization supports tooltips on hover.

HTML Starter

This example displays the text “Hello HTML” centered on a blank page. It demonstrates the simplest possible web page structure using a plain HTML document with embedded CSS. World Countries Tree

This interactive tree visualization displays tweet classification categories, including Direct Claim, Indirect Claim, Opinion, Quote, and Not Claim, with subcategories for Opinion. The hierarchical data from `data.json` is rendered as a horizontal tree using D3 v5’s `tree` layout and `linkHorizontal` path generator. Nodes are labeled with the `data.id` value, and the entire visualization supports pan and zoom via D3’s `zoom` behavior. World Countries Tree

The World Countries Tree visualizes hierarchical tweet classification data as a horizontal dendrogram. It displays a single root node branching into categories like Direct Claim, Indirect Claim, Opinion, Quote, and Not Claim, with subcategories under Opinion. The SVG rendering uses the D3 v5 tree layout and hierarchy API to compute node positions, while linkHorizontal generates curved connector paths.
