Film Flowers, Single Update Starter
Each movie appears as a flower whose petal count, size, and shape encode vote totals, rating, and rating category from the bundled `movies.json` dataset. The animation uses a D3 v4 join with `enter-update-exit` and a `d3.transition` to scale and rotate petals from zero into place. Petals are drawn with `svg:path` elements using predefined curve strings, while `d3.scaleLinear` and `d3.scaleQuantize` map data to visual scales, and `d3.interpolateRainbow` colors each petal.
