FP_Viz_2

This line chart visualizes the number of meets held each year, with data sourced from a CSV file fetched from a GitHub repository. The chart displays a steelblue line connecting data points, with interactive tooltips revealing the exact year and meet count on hover. The visualization is built using D3.js v7, utilizing `d3.scaleTime`, `d3.scaleLinear`, `d3.axisBottom`, and `d3.axisLeft` to construct the axes, while `d3.line` generates the path and `d3.rollup` aggregates the data by year. The SVG rendering includes circular marks for each data point and styled text labels for the axes.

Final Presentation

This bar chart visualization displays the number of meets for each country, using data fetched from a GitHub-hosted CSV file. The chart presents the data as a sorted bar chart, with countries on the x-axis and meet counts on the y-axis. It uses D3.js v7 APIs including `d3.csv`, `d3.rollup`, `d3.scaleBand`, `d3.scaleLinear`, and `d3.scaleOrdinal` to process data and render the SVG visualization. Interactive tooltips appear on mouseover to display the country name and meet count for each bar.

Assignment2

This area chart visualizes insurance charges across different ages, using data fetched from a GitHub-hosted CSV file. The chart displays age on the x-axis and charges on the y-axis, with axis labels included for clarity. Built with D3 v7 and rendered as SVG, the visualization uses `d3.area()` to create the filled region and `d3.axisBottom` and `d3.axisLeft` for the axes. A tooltip, implemented with D3's selection and pointer methods, appears on mouseover to show the age and charges of the nearest data point.

Fork of Hello VizHub

This example displays a D3.js pie chart that visualizes the distribution of insurance records by region, rendered as SVG with an accompanying legend and interactive tooltips. The code loads CSV data from a GitHub-hosted dataset using `d3.csv`, aggregates region counts with `d3.rollup`, and constructs the pie with `d3.pie` and `d3.arc`. Hovering over a slice highlights it, triggers a tooltip showing the category and value, and applies categorical colors from `d3.scaleOrdinal` and `d3.schemeCategory10`.
