COVID chart
This horizontal bar chart displays the rate of COVID-19 cases per 100,000 residents for the most affected U.S. counties, with Trousdale County, Tennessee, leading at over 14,000. The visualization uses D3 version 5's `scaleBand` for the y-axis and `scaleLinear` for the x-axis, rendering bars as SVG rectangles within a 960×500 canvas. Data comes from a local CSV file (data.csv), sourced from Statista, and the chart applies `axisLeft` and `axisBottom` for its axes. The bars are uniformly styled with a steelblue fill via CSS.
