Scatter plot with customize axes

This scatter plot displays the population of the ten most populous countries, with each country positioned along a categorical y-axis and its population scaled linearly on the x-axis. The chart customizes its axes by removing domain lines, adding gridlines through tick sizes, and formatting population labels with d3.format to abbreviate large numbers. Built with React and rendered as SVG, it uses d3.scalePoint for the y-axis, d3.scaleLinear for the x-axis, and d3.axisLeft and d3.axisBottom to generate the ticks. Data loads from a CSV file using d3.csv.

Bar Chart

A horizontal bar chart shows population estimates for the ten most populous countries, with China leading at over 1.4 billion. The visualization uses D3 v5’s `scaleLinear` for the x-axis, `scaleBand` for categorical y-axis positions, and SVG `<rect>` elements for bars. Data loads from an external CSV file and is rendered within a React application, with axes generated via `axisLeft` and `axisBottom`.

Bar Chart

This bar chart displays population counts for ten countries, using horizontal bars ordered from most to least populous. The chart is rendered as an SVG within a React application, built with D3 v5’s `scaleLinear`, `scaleBand`, `axisLeft`, and `axisBottom`. Data from a CSV file is loaded via `d3.csv`, with population values multiplied by 1000. Bars are appended as `rect` elements, with axes and text styled in a brown color scheme.
