This example displays a static world map rendered as gray SVG paths, with each country drawn as a separate geographic feature. The visualization loads GeoJSON data from a local `countries.json` file and uses `d3.geoPath()` to project the coordinates onto a 500×500 pixel canvas. The code applies a uniform gray fill to every country, with no interactivity or styling variations. It relies on D3 v5’s selection and data-join methods (`svg.selectAll("path").data(data.features)`) to create the map elements from the GeoJSON structure.

JSON file for rendring d3js map of India. No license is needed to use this file, but the data here is only for representation purposes and solves my use-case. It may not statistically or geographically accurate and I am not responsible for any issues arising out of these inaccuracies

A choropleth map of India built with D3.js renders the country's states as multi-polygon geometries from a local JSON file. The visualization displays the geographic boundaries using a standard GeoJSON projection, with each state filled in a distinct color to differentiate regions. The map relies on D3's geo path generation for the polygons, sourced from the states.json file, which is explicitly noted as approximate and for representation only. The data is ingested as a FeatureCollection, and the rendering process utilizes D3.js's map projection and path-building functions to draw the shapes.
