Growth in Irish Whiskey Sales

This visualization shows the growth of Irish whiskey sales across different countries over time, using a multi-line chart where each line represents a country and is color-coded via a categorical color scale. The y-axis displays cases, while the x-axis shows the year. Built with D3 v5, the chart uses `d3.line` with a basis curve to smooth the lines, `d3.scaleTime` and `d3.scaleLinear` for axes, and `d3.nest` to group data by country, with a custom color legend. The data is loaded as a CSV from a GitHub URL.

Line Chart with Multiple Lines

This line chart displays one week of temperature data in degrees Celsius for cities worldwide, sourced from Data Canvas – Sense Your City. Multiple colored lines represent different cities, sorted by their final temperature values, with a color legend identifying each series. The visualization uses d3.scaleTime, d3.scaleLinear, and d3.scaleOrdinal to map time, temperature, and city categories, while d3.line with curveBasis generates smooth paths. Axes are rendered via d3.axisBottom and d3.axisLeft, with d3.nest grouping the data by city.

Growth in Irish Whiskey Sales

Irish whiskey sales growth is visualized as a multi-series line chart, with each country’s annual case sales drawn as a colored, smoothed path. The chart uses D3 v5’s `scaleTime`, `scaleLinear`, `nest`, and `line` with `curveBasis` to aggregate and render the data, which is loaded from a CSV. A categorical color scale distinguishes countries, and a custom legend component displays the mapping. The visualization includes axis labels and grid lines, with the source data retrieved from a remote GitHub repository.

Irish Whiskey Slaes Per Country

This visualization displays Irish whiskey sales amounts per country using a bar chart, with each bar colored by country and sized proportionally to the sales figure. The chart is built with Vega-Lite API and D3.js, loading data from an external CSV via the `getData` function, and renders as an SVG fitted to the browser window. Tooltips show the exact sales amount for each bar, while custom configuration settings adjust font sizes and colors for readability, with a dark theme for labels and titles.

This visualization displays the relationship between danceability and duration for the top 100 songs of 2018, using a bar chart where each bar represents a song’s profit by company and industry. The code employs Vega-Lite API with D3’s CSV loader to fetch data from a GitHub repository, rendering bars with configurable opacity and binning. Tooltips reveal song names, while axes and colors are customized via the `config.js` file to improve readability against a dark background.
