Force-Directed Layout with Convex Hull

A force-directed graph with randomized links is rendered as a 100-node network partitioned into nine groups, with each group’s region shown via a Voronoi overlay. Hovering a Voronoi cell briefly highlights its nodes by enlarging them. The code uses `d3.forceSimulation` with link, charge, position, collision, and centering forces, runs 120 ticks manually, and draws SVG circles, lines, and Voronoi paths via `d3.voronoi`. Colors come from `d3.schemeCategory20`.

map

A choropleth of mainland France colors each region by the total number of influenza cases recorded in 2014, with a linear white-to-red scale mapping the summed yearly values. The visualization loads the regional GeoJSON and CSV data, joins them on the region name, and uses the `d3.geoConicConformal` projection with `d3.geoPath` to render the paths. Each polygon’s fill is set via `d3.scaleLinear`, illustrating the geographic distribution of the disease’s annual incidence.

fresh block

This example displays a map of a French region, likely a department or territory, as a set of gray polygon outlines. It uses D3.js v4 to load a GeoJSON file named "regions.json" and render its features onto an SVG canvas. The code relies on the `d3.geoAlbersUsa()` projection and `d3.geoPath()` to convert the geographic coordinates into SVG paths, which are then appended to the visualization.
