Interactive pie and bar

This interactive dashboard links a bar chart of 2019 export totals per state with a pie chart and legend that break down each state’s exports by agricultural, industrial, and livestock categories. Hovering over a bar updates the pie chart and legend to reflect that state’s sector frequencies, while hovering over a rectangle highlights it in blue. Built with React and D3 v3, the visualization uses ordinal and linear scales, SVG transitions, and mouseover/mouseout handlers to coordinate the views.

ILINet Flu Surveillance Data Interactive Visualization

This interactive visualization presents ILINet flu surveillance data across four linked panels: a line chart showing weekly trends by year, a choropleth map, a bar chart of top states, and a multi-line chart of state trends. Built with React and D3 v5, it uses `scaleBand`, `scaleLinear`, and `scaleOrdinal` for axes and colors, `geoAlbersUsa` and `geoPath` for the map, and `curveCardinal` for line smoothing. CDC data is loaded via `d3.csv` and US Atlas TopoJSON, with brushing and hover interactions syncing selections across panels.
