Fork of D3 Tree with Multiple Parents
This interactive visualization presents a tree diagram of hierarchical relationships, most notably showing how a child node like "Supply and demand" can connect to multiple parent categories including "Government of the United States" and "Stock market." The graph highlights the selected branch in steelblue while rendering other connections at reduced opacity. Built with d3.v5, the visualization uses `tree()`, `hierarchy()`, and `linkHorizontal()` to compute positions and paths, with custom logic that deduplicates nodes by ID and recalculates their coordinates. Pan and zoom controls are implemented via d3's built-in `zoom()` event, and the layout repositions nodes smoothly through transitions, all rendered as SVG text elements styled with the Playfair Display font.
