5 Buddhas

5 Buddhas visualizes five nearly identical Buddhist figures drawn as layered SVG paths, each repeated in a 21×21 grid of circles generated from a cube-root sequence. The React app maps over arrays to render hundreds of tiny, randomly colored and positioned circles beneath a single large black-and-white Buddha path, creating a dense, decorative halo. Semi-transparent circles with random RGB values produce a shimmering, pointillist effect against the black background, while the central Buddha figure is scaled and translated to sit atop the field of dots. The piece plays with scale, repetition, and color opacity to blend sacred geometry with generative art.

5 Buddhas reflection

Five nested triangles form a meditative mandala of randomized geometry, rendered as a grid of 20×20×20 overlapping diamond shapes. Each diamond is generated with JavaScript's Math.random() to determine its position, fill color (with RGB values up to 500), and rotation, producing a kaleidoscopic, chaotic array. The work is layered atop a faint, repeated Buddha silhouette path, suggesting a contemplative yet algorithmically generated reflection on order and chance. The black background and translucent, vibrant polygons create a luminous, stained-glass effect that both honors and abstracts the traditional Buddha imagery.

A grid of overlapping, semi-transparent Buddha face paths are repeatedly rendered in rotated positions atop a green background, with each iteration generating random sizes, colors, and placements. The code uses React with SVG to map nested arrays, drawing diamond-shaped polygons at varying scales and opacities, layered with a large, detailed Buddha path to create a dense, kaleidoscopic collage.

This visualization renders a dense field of semi-transparent, multicolored circles scattered across a black SVG canvas, generated through nested mappings over a numeric array. Layered behind them is a single large orange path drawing of a seated Buddha, created with SVG path data. The circles are randomly positioned and colored, overlapping the Buddha figure to create a vibrant, chaotic collage effect. The work explores the tension between generative randomness and traditional iconography, using React to manage the composition while the black background makes the overlapping shapes and colors stand out.
